We would like to inform you that this morning in one of the reactors in our Cyclamate production occurred an incident, which caused an explosion that damaged the reactor severely. One of the workers has minor burning wounds, and has been taken to the hospital for observation. 

 

After first inspection by the engineers of our maintenance team, estimation is that it will take 2 to 3 weeks to restore the damages and have the equipment functioning normal again. 

 

For the availability of our Cyclamate this incident will have no influence, since we already made sufficient product to cover the demand until September. This because our production was planned to be closed anyway due to holidays, first weeks of August. 

 

Since the explosion has caused only local damage, production of other items (Saccharin, Polisucra sweetener blends, flavours and fortification premixes) is not affected.
